I do believe in God. I have the proof that I believe it in my heart. Sometimes you don't have to see to believe.

I believe in God for numerous reasons. The primary reason is the fact that the universe had a beginning. This is evidenced both philosophically and scientifically.

Philosophically, the proof goes:

If the universe has existed forever, then there has been an infinite number of days. But we are currently at the 'end' of days. Meaning that today is the last day in the set of 'all days'. Picture a timeline for the universe. A universe that has existed forever would show a line that does not end, but there is in actuality an end to the timeline, and we are there now. So the universe cannot be infinitely old.

Scientifically, the proof includes:

1. The Big Bang, which entails an expansion of space, matter and time from a 'singularity' a finite time ago.
2. The accelerating rate of the universe's expansion rate. This suggests that it will continue to expand forever, rather than contract and expand cyclically, which is strong evidence against an eternal universe.

I also believe in God as a source for our objective sense of morality. We all know that torturing babies is REALLY wrong. It's not wrong in someone's opinion. It's not a personal preference most of us share. We KNOW that torturing babies is wrong. God is an explanation for that shared sense of right and wrong.

The reason I am a Christian is also another proof for God. I am a Christian because of the resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth. By this I mean the historical event that occurred 2,000 years ago.

I think the evidence is by far in favor of the bodily resurrection of Christ being a historical event, rather than a fabrication.

New Testament scholarship has come to a consensus on four relevant facts:

1. After his crucifixion, Jesus was buried by Joseph of Arimathea in the tomb.
2. On the Sunday following the crucifixion, Jesus’ tomb was found empty by a group of his women followers.
3. On multiple occasions and under various circumstances, different individuals and groups of people experienced appearances of Jesus alive from the dead.
4. The original disciples believed that Jesus was risen from the dead despite their having every reason not to.

This includes liberal and conservative scholars alike.

Skeptics attempt to circumvent the ramifications of number 3 and 4 by claiming that the apostles had "visions" of Christ, rather than bodily experiences. But this fails to account for the empty tomb. And a "stolen body" hypothesis fails to account for the experiences of the risen Christ. So skeptics are FORCED to sort of merge the two hypotheses, which is as clear a case of special pleading as there has ever been.

The resurrection of Jesus is the SIMPLEST and therefore BEST explanation of the agreed upon historical facts. Without an unsupportable bias against the supernatural, this hypothesis is easiest for those honestly examining the evidence to accept.

Since Jesus could not have come back from the dead naturally, His supernatural resurrection is proof of God, in particular the Christian God.

Believers Believe GOD'S WORD (The BIBLE) And The BIBLE Doesn't LIE!.....The Proof Is That Believers Know GOD Exists Because Once A Person Is Spiritually Born Again Our Spirit Bears Witness With GOD'S Spirit. (Romans 8: 16).....In Other Words, Believers Have A SPIRITUAL CONNECTION WITH GOD BASED ON HIS WORD AND GOD'S WORD & GOD'S SPIRIT WILL ALWAYS AGREE!..........This Is Why Atheists & Non- Believers & Agnostics Etc. Can Not Experience This Because They Have Not Received Or Intered Into This Coveant With GOD! (1 Cor.: 2: 14)

I just believe. I could be completely wrong. Sometimes just talking to Him and putting my worries in His hand is all the proof I need to know that He exists. I feel so much better after I've done that. Although, I do get bummed when the answer to my prayer is No.

He has done some pretty amazing miracles in my life. He has healed me, my uncle, my mom, and he gives me joy and happiness. There is no proof that evolution has happened. There is proof that the flood happened and they think they found the ark. Every place in the bible exists. They found Jesus' brother's tomb. The universe is too perfect to have evolved into what it is. There has to be a greater being that made us and is protecting us everyday. Isn't it a happier theory that there is a heaven that we are going to after we die instead of just nothing after death?

Blimey, there's the rub! The believers would say our very existence proves there's a god. The skeptics counter that a creator is not required. (Ala quantum physics.) My opinion is you should look around and draw your own conclusions. If something looks like BS and sounds like BS and smells like BS...
