That happened to me, twice by the same man. The first time I didn't say anything. The 2nd time I did. Guess what the response was..."I didn't lie. I never said when I would." I explained how most women interpret it. He then said, "My bad...I understand how I mislead you." Weird thing is, I believed him. Also I didn't offer or ask if he still has my number.
He's still very interested, but I ignore him and don't give him any of my time.
Someone once commented that men are "dense as fudge". I agree. (SOME men, not all).

MEN WANT to avoid confrontation every chance they get. Good, bad, whatever, they just don't want to know what you may think about their decisions. If they have made up their mind that they don't care about you that much, they won't tell you. Guys will just say they will call, to avoid a possible b#tch match and than they won't. DONT take it personally... cause they don't. Also if they did care guys tend to be more punctual when they really want something-they'd call. If he says he'll call you tomorrow and he doesn't call you for weeks, or,he makes plans with you and calls only to cancel than they are just keeping you for sideline material. Girls may just wanna have fun but guys -THEY JUST WANNA #@ck!!!

Because they don't want to make you feel bad that they weren't really that into you, they also might want to keep you in mind for the next few days, but don't call back. I don't know, why do we, woman, smile and say we're having a great time when we wish we were anywhere else? Hmmmm......

Maybe, they are trying to be nice. Sometimes they are really not interested and will say that. Just as women do. Don't sweat it. Look on the bright side might be tied up working or something.

They figure its an easy way to let you down gently. they don't want to hurt your feelings, by telling you, that they don't wish to see you again.
Its a bit chicken, and done with the best of intentions. Can you think of another way out of an awkward situation like that?

Either they are scared to call or they were just being nice and really didn't want anything but to get you in bed that night and nothing else.

It's all about control. It's there game. Just don't wait around cause if they ever feel that you are waiting for their phone calls - they will keep you waiting even longer.

Well some guys are shy they tried to but later can't...Some just tell you so they could go away for some time.
