I think you would love Winnipeg then.

We have two large casinos right in town and about 1 or 2 others a few miles out on the indian reserves.
Nice places, all of them.
Good action as well.

Plus the prices for overnight stays, food and such, will run you a lot less than if you were to go to one of those Tourist traps like TO, MTL or CGY or Van.
Ever pay 4 bucks for a hotdog at the Ed mall??
That won't be a problem in Winn.

One of Canada's best guarded secrets is the Peg.
You really owe it to yourself to come and see what the fuss is all about.

I would stay in Toronto. There's Georgian Downs(a race track with a casino inside) in Barrie, an hours drive north, Casino Rama in Orillia about a half hour north of Barrie, and Casino Niagara in Niagara Falls a few hours south of Toronto. Plus all the tourist things to do in Toronto.

If you don't mind travelling further east than Montreal (which will be totally French) I would suggest staying in Nova Scotia. This province features 2 casinos, one in Sydney and one in Halifax. I have been to the one in Halifax, and I love it! (Roullette is my favorite!) Nova Scotia is also a great place to visit, gambling or not. It is a coastal province, with picturesque secenery and great maritime hospitality!

The Toronto area may be good. Close to Casino Rama in Orillia (http://www.casinorama.com/home.aspx), Niagara Falls (http://www.casinoniagara.com/). Toronto also offers great shopping, the CN Tower, great theatre (Lord of the Rings) and much more.
