i use to go out with this boy and we was goin out for 4 months and i was in love and he told me he loved me too until i ended up tellin one of my friends that i had ran into one of my ex's and we ended up hanging out together for the day and at the end of us hangin out he kissed me but i didn't move my lips to kiss him back so my friend decides to tell my boyfriend what happened which i was goin to do anyway and he kept feelin like i cheated on him and we broke up we stopped talkin for a bout 2 months becuz he was mad at me but we ended up being friends again now a year and a half has passed and i am still in love with him and want him back but he is acting really care free so i'm kinda confused becuz we were at this party and we cuddled and made out and so the next day i had to ask him what was goin on between us but he said he doesn't know so i'm confused i can't tell if he wants to be juss friends or friends with benefits or be together or if he even likes me like that so can u help

The thing with guys is that generally, they don't really care about who they are with so much as what she looks like, what she could do for their reputation, and what kind of physical activity they are going to get out of it. They say and do things they don't really mean so they can get girls to make out with them, etc.
From what you have said, it sounds like he is not really interested in dating you, but sees nothing wrong with your body. He is perfectly willing to make out and stuff, if you aren't going to make him put any effort into it, like he would if you were dating.
Friends with benefits is a bad thing to get into. If you let a guy have what he wants from you physically without actually dating, he is never going to want to date you. Guys also tend to lose all respect for their friends with benefits, because they see them less as friends and more as objects there for their sexual gratification whenever they want it. You are better off not letting him touch you unless he is willing to actually be your boyfriend.
