It is a severe form of rosacea. It is also known as rhinophyma. Apparently not related to chronic alcoholic abuse. Remember W.C. Fields nose.

Even very dark African Americans sometimes have White and or Native ancestry to some degree. You cannot go by complexion. Barack Obama would probably look very different had his father been African American rather than full on African from Kenya. The majority of Blacks in the USA are about 17-20% White

I experienced blonde hair, and i died this black and people said i appeared waaay better blonde because black can make my face look pail.

When people get old, their skin thins dramatically, that's why it looks purple, and also why they are prone to skin tears. The purple tint is the veins underneath!

My Grandmother had this condition. She me that it was from not taking care of her skin and using protection when she was out in the sun. It was not skin cancer, but per her it was due to tumors.
