Stupidity.They think they are better drivers then they really are,and don't think about the danger to themselves and others.

because they have to meet what was originally a quite reasonable deadline, but they've seen it slip away over the last half hour thanks first to unexpected traffic, then the actions of some mong in the passing lanes holding up the queue of traffic behind waiting to pass at 5 (10, 15..) under the limit, with a promise of similar or worse to come - so they may as well make up as much time as they can whilst the opportunity's there. don't get in their way.

Everyone in the world is in a big hurry. I see people going WAY over the speed limit too and wonder what they must be thinking. I wonder if they worry about the other cars on the road, or maybe they don't SEE there are other cars on the road.

Because we can!!! :-) A better question is why do people drive in the left lane, which is supposed to be used only for passing, and why don't people that choose not to speed move to the right and out of the way of those who do make that choice? It's my ticket if I get it, so move out the way!! :-) LOL

Trying to get to your destination as soon as possible is the number one reason why people drive. Don't be surprised if people will go as far as going beyond the speed limit to get to their location. This isn't the case though if you drive at the Autobahn in Germany.

because they like to overspeed and going ahead the limits just because they don't leave the work on time or particullary when it comes to go out from house, they don't tend to have good habits on sleeping as well as organization, besides you could see people combing their hair , making up the lips, whatever, it is just because they don't prepare their time and distribute them equally.

That is why they would like to see roads here like the autoban in Europe. It has no speed limit.
