No family is "normal", but it sounds like you need some help. Dealing with depression and suicide is not something you can handle on your own. Do you have any aunts/cousins/other family members or close friends you can turn to? If a therapist makes you feel that they think you are crazy, he or she is not good nor professional. I highly recommend talking to someone, a professional. The good ones make you feel better, not "crazy". Ask around, there's bound to be someone who's well respected.

I'm sorry. You guys really do need a counselor, but maybe it's better if you see him separately rather than as a family. So you can each work on your own stuff. Try and see if everyone will go to a dr and get whatever medical issues dealt with (eg. if you're bipolar are you taking your meds, maybe your mom needs antidepressants, etc). Also you need some stable adults in your life. Is there an aunt or uncle or pastor or friend's dad who will kind of be there for you and help you through this time in your life? Try to find somebody.

You need to talk to your parents. It sounds like your family may have communication issues. You need to get your emotions out and let your parents know how you feel - there is nothing wrong with that.
I would also say you should go back to counseling. It sounds like you have a lot of things you need to eal with (And your sister as well) and a counselor can really help with that. Counselors aren't miracle workers and it won't happen over night - but if you commit to going and stay with it, it will help you. I will also tell you that no counselor thinks you are crazy - they are trained to help people, and odds are they will have counseled people with worse problems than you have. The smartest thing you can do is get back into counseling and really put an effort forth.

Hi! I feel like maybe you and your family need to try more family outings. Sometimes I feel lide a therapist cannot help sometimes you have to work things out within yourself. And your sister getting upset because she cn't have a myspace how stupid.I don't know your religion, but how about asking GOD to come in and help with things, he listens, he's just waiting on you to ask. Just trust and believe and he's there. And try church functions, start with church and GOD don't forget about him. He's waiting on you.

Sounds like your sister is depressed too. You all need to get help. Go to your doctor. If therapy's not for you maybe you could try some books on depression. try www.belief.net that has articles on depression and much more.

The only answer is to look to God. I am not sure where you or your family is spirtually, but you need to be a bible teaching church and that is the place to seek counseling. Secular therapist is not going to get to the root of the problem. LET GO and LET GOD!

i agree with the first answerer....have you been to a therapist that didn't treat you well?? if so, the therapist wasn't doing his/her job right....if that's your therapist, try changing....therapists are people who wanna help you and not think that you're a freak....they see cases like this everyday and they have a solution for you....everyone has problems, and you're not the only one....i hope you open your heart to allow someone to help you....

A family that prays together stays together. Pray about it and don't rule out therapy. I had to try a few different ones before thet helped me. I'll pray for your family
