Of all the versions out there, which do you use and why?

I am personally KJV only, easily understand it, and enjoy reading it.

I also use the KJV as it is the version of my Church and I wouldn't use another one. I love the KJV.

King James Version Old Schofield Study Bible.

I prefer the original wording that was first given in translation...which was taken from the original language of Hebrew, Latin or Greek.

Sometimes, the new translations looses the essence of the original meaning of the original English translations.
The newer bibles translations are a kind of watered down version of the original Kings version....which is a translation its self....taken from the original texts and I have found that the bible I use....although is the closest thing to the original Kings James Version, has its flaws in its interpretation of the translated scripture.
But then again, it is just my own opinion. Believing that Jesus Christ is the son of God is the foremost important thing.

I use the New World Translation because it is easier to understand, but I also study with a KJV and several other newer translations of the Greek scriptures (the new testament) I think it's good to have several Bibles to study with and read.

I love many versions as they write it in different ways that you get a greater understanding, without changing the actual meaning. I love the Message Bible very much.

I use a New American Standard-Ryrie Study Bible Expanded Edition. It is very easy to understand and I use it everyday. I take time every morning and read at least 10 verses a day. My church puts out a daily scripture reading for every month. Be committed to reading His word, seek Him and He will open door for you.

i like the NIV because it is easy to read and easy to understand. i used to go to this school where they made you read and learn verses from the king james version. and i didn't understand as well but it was when i was in 1st grade. i still think i have a little bit of it in me. like when i am reciteing verses.

New living translation. Its written in terms everyone can understand and directly translated from the original languages. So there is no question about the reliablity of it.
