I think the reason why most men say they prefer women without makeup, but that is because they haven't SEEN most women without makeup. As soon as everyone take off their makeup, i'd bet u men will be begging them to put it back on. I don't consider it fake. Isn't men putting on gel considered "fake".

I prefer women without makeup because I find the natural beauty of a woman to be far more attractive then the modern "commercialized" look of a woman. My wife rarely wears makeup. I can count on one hand the number of times my wife wears makeup and even when she does it's a very small amount.
As to wearing gel, I suppose you could consider that to be a similar idea. I don't wear hair gel or anything in my hair so I'm not a good one to comment on that. I simply find the natural beauty of women to be far superior to the altered beauty that revlon says you need to look like.
I've only known a few women in my life that I considered gorgeous and all of them lived their lives without makeup. There is probaby a good reason for that. They were self-confident and felt no desire to "doll themselves up" in order to look good. So to answer your question, yes, I (as a man) really do prefer women without makeup.

Perhaps but I am for one, that prefer no makeup - but true enough I have not seen many without it. maybe a dozen or so. But then again I do not wear this gel. also do not like hair dye. But then I also do not go around and tell women they would look better one way or the other. I think if they feel better doing make-up or whatever then it cant be a bad thing. But then you also have to consider women who look as good as you do (well the one on your photo on here if that is you) could look good with or without. i say this because of your skin tone and the jaw line and cheek bones add depth to your features.

I don't know where you get the idea that men prefer women without make-up. No man prefers a woman that way. As for your second question - do you mean hair gel? If you do, then no it's not "fake" - just part of grooming.

Good question. I actually gauge a lot of what I physically think of women based on what they look like without makeup on. I wouldn't consider it fake but more of an acentuation. If a woman has to base her whole apperance off of plastering a ton of makeup on her face, then she is being fake. But it's not the end all.

I personally do not like make up because I beleive that it hides the natural beauty of a women. I prefer lip stick and eye liner but that is it. Sometimes on special occasions, yes but not all the time. Some men do and some men don't.

Ok, men don't really, realy prefer women without makeup. (Though there is that 10% of women with natural beauty that don't need it.) In general, men simply want less makeup, more of the look that you can't tell they have any on...just light touch ups and enhancements....not caked on goop.

I think it matters what part of the world the man comes from. I'm in europe and there isnt much "fashion" going on here, as most would like to believe. (not like on tv). Pony tails and no make up are "the thing".
I have seen many women (including friends) that have natural beauty with beautiful skin and require no make up.
Personally i prefer my makeup....and if a man wants to see me without....................well then, i hope he plans on cooking breakfast..:-P

I have seen women without make up an if you love someone you wont care.
Imo if a man begs a woman to put make up back on ( and he is in a relationship with her.) he is a shallow person.
I hate that the media has set the standard for beauty.

Well some women look better without makeup I know my wife does when she puts on makeup she does not look good but other women look bad without it for an example look at Cameron Diaz she looks real good with makeup but when she takes it off she doesn't look good you see what I'm saying.

I prefer women without makeup or an economy of makeup. I don't like a date to look like she's wearing warpaint.
