Soldiers know what they are getting into when they sign their enlistment contract. Yes, it's very sad that we've lost so many soldiers in this war, but that is what happens in war.

I personally feel more sorrow for the people that lost their soldier than I do for the soldier. We troops already understand the risk....it's harder for civilians.

Just soldiers? What about Sailors,Airmen, and Marines?Soldiers are generally people in the Army.Though some consider Marines soldiers too I guess.I'm a veteran sailor myself and I think the beheadings of anyone is sick and barbaric! Esp the way they were carried out. These animals deserve no mercy!!!!! It saddens me every time I see anyone beheaded over there but I do feel it even more when it's one of ours. It's sad to say but it won't end anytime soon. Once the Iraqis can begin to provide for their own security at least to a certain degree we need to get the hell out of there! I assume we will always have one if not several bases over there no matter what though. It's part of the strategic move to keep China from moving in on world resources.Believe it or not that's a big part of what the war is really all about.

The recent beheading of two of our soldiers is a disgrace. The unfortunate fact is we are handcuffed by the Geneva Convention where as our enemies are not. They do what they want when they want and when we cath them we have to give them a trial for what they have done instead of being able to do the same to them as they did to our soldiers. The benefit of our following the Geneva Convention is we are less likely to lose the backing of the Iraqi people. Also if we were to start using the tactics of out enemies they would immediately initiate a propoganda war against us, kind of like they are trying to do now. Whenever something negative happens the first ones to complain about it are our enemies, who want both our country and their own to lose respect and stop backing the soldiers. When and if that happens they are winning. We have to remain strong to our convictions and finish what we have started becuase if we don't we will have to fix it again at a later time when it may be bloddier and more difficult. If we had done this in 1991 it would have been a whole heck of alot easier.

I say this as a Military brat, someone who was in the military, and a military wife. I do feel for those poor solders and their families, along with everyone else lost (my small town has lost many too). I believe it's just another to not back down! I don't want them being killed in vain. We have to show the terrorist they can't scare us. Yes, it frightens me when my husband goes on deployment to Iraq. Now that I have done research though, I am less worried. Did you know that more Americans have been killed on our highways in the past two years than solders have killed in Iraq since we brought the war there? It will end when we have won!

GO USA!!!

well by killing 2 of our own theres gonna be alot done to some Iraqis that will never be reported because believe it or not, we the soldiers make the rules and i feel for them because they've opened up hell, and end not any time soon we've built more cities and towns and non-sense for 4 yrs, too much money lost to throw in the towel even if were not fighting for anything

I'm an army wife with a husband looking at another deployment over the horizon and as with any of our boys, men it really hits home so how do we do it we don't go into the week as a day at a time we go week to week , and we hold our breath till the next call comes in that they are OK , or the email that say s I'm fine i have kids small ones and i have to go into each day with the same attitude one week down and # 205 to go if you know what i mean we pray , cry , pray some more and then breath and we go into another day hope this kinda helps most of us wives band together when our husbands leave , and that helps plus we have our family's back home supporting the men and us . keep praying we all do till they all come home.

There's only one way to not have our soldiers beheaded and to end the insurgency in Iraq. It's one way or the other!!!
1) Let our troops fight without the hand being cuffed or
2) Bring our troops home!!!
No other war has ever been fought the way we're fighting in Iraq except for Vietnam. And I think we all know how that turned out. Please folks...if we're going to have our troops there, then please let them fight. Their sitting ducks the way we're letting them fight it right now. Lets speak out for these guys people....SCREAM!!!!!! Enough's enough already.
