Good Question! First of all Cain's wife was from the land of Nod and she wasn't his sister. How you may say? Well do you remember when Cain slew Abel? Well the only people left according religion was Adam and Eve right? and Cain told God that his punishment was more than he can bear right? and someone might kill him right? Like Who? the only people left according to religion is Adam,Eve and God right? But God agree and says I'll will put a 7 fold curse on anyone who tries to kill you right? Well why didn't God just tell Cain "Fear not that thy mother and thy father only exist and they wilt not harm thee" and ye have not any brethren or sister to fear for they do not yet exist" right? Because according to the Bible Eve didn't have another child until God replaced Abel With Seth. And in Genesis 4:17 Cain knew his wife and not until after that Eve had her next child in Genesis 4:25 Which God appointed to her in replacement of Abel right? Check it out don't believe me! Your question should be "Were did Cain get his wife? Let me tell you. Do you remember the war in heaven that Michael and his hosts had with the Devil and his hosts? If you remember the story correctly the Devil and his hosts lost and they were cast to earth 1/3 of them were Cherubims. They were in the land of Nod. That why Cain was scare to go there and God knew they were there too that why he basically agreed. Now think about that?

the answer is no.
Back then, there were few genetic mutations to get in the way, so marrying within the family carried no chance of that.
plus, in the beginning there were probably so few diseases that all babies were born healthy.
however, by the time of exodus and the Pharaohs, there were far to many altered and mutated genes within in man kind, so defects of one parent were doubled with the same genes of a sibling, thus causing deformed or mentally challenged children.

No. Such types of degradation in the gene pool takes many generations to create, and are always held within the confines of a very tightly-held gene pool. In the case of Creation and Adam and Eve (and later on with Ham, Shem, and Japeth) the "fruitfulness" of the people gave a very wide breadth very rapidly, thus preventing the gene pool issues.
Sprinkle in a little divine intervention, and you got yourself a population!

Cain did no longer marry his sister, he married his niece. To think of that Adam and Eve purely had 3 sons is fairly closed minded. Adam and Eve and a lot of toddlers, maximum of which observed after Cain while he fell.

since were not you can chuck that theory out the window. although ill warn you, dumba*s christians will attempt to sell you this whole "but _____ and _______ (either can & able or adam & eve) were PERFECT BEINGS! and magically their genetics were cut up and distributed evenly throughout the world.....

Deformaties from inbreeding requires years of redundancy to surface. No. They were not deformed. This is why God did not warn against this until hundreds of years later through the Levitical Law.

Just starting out to populate the earth, the Lord made provisions for no genetic problems. Incest did not exist for many generations.

no, their children weren't deformed. being the offspring of adam and eve, their gene pool was very pure. you remember that eve was created with one of adam's ribs, right? so she and adam had the same genetic make-up, as did their children. it was not until generations later that the gene pool became tainted and deformities started.

if so then we are all deformities. actually, yes we are. look at humans. nothing but deformities. we're nearly hairless which is impractical. we're tall, which is pointless. ect. ect. ect.
the real question should be, why was it ok then, but now?

Yes, sisters and brothers married up until Leviticus. THen it was revealed, who could marry and who could not.
Before that, however it was allowed.
If allowed, its not a sin, and no bad outcomes.
