Sorry I am addicted to them and I heard they were super bad for you.

I stopped drinking flavoured water because I was out golfing and my throat closed off! And when my parents bought Crystal Light they advised me to try it because they thought I wasn't drinking enough water. Is crystal light and flavoured water the same?

Hi there. Yes things like Crystal Lite, Diet Pepsi, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, all those bevarages are made to taste the same as the original thing. This is done by adding a chemical which is a Carcinogen I am not a chemist so excuse my mispelling of any sort. However these chemicals which are also used in sugar substitute have been tested repeatedly and have shown drastic agitation of rapid cell growth. Also known as cancers. A cancer is a cell(s) which grow much more rapidly than nature intended, soon they fall out of balance with your other body cells and begin to dominate and destroy matter within the organism (I.E. You). That is what those beverages use to taste somewhat the same to original product but by using less sugar, just more chemicals. These drinks have also been a major cause of migrains, back pains and reflux disease. I would honestly advise you to stop drinking that as soon as possible and switch to Water or Mineral Water. Howver stay away from Propel and such Flavored waters because they too have carcinogens to create those flavors.

Never heard that before, or that they cause cravings for real sugar. Then again, while I love Crystal Light, I don't drink it in droves. I guess just use moderation. If you feel yourself craving something else - why not try decaf ice tea straight up, no sugar. I put six/seven tea bags in the coffee maker and fill the carafe.

When done add the tea from the carafe to a gallon pitcher. Add cold water and serve. You can always add fresh berries. Or, instead of ice cubes try using frozen fruit.

BTW, I did see on the Discovery Channel that Nutrasweet becomes formaldehyde as your body processes it.

Well, they have nutra-sweet or something like that in them that causes cancer in test animals, so I don't think they're fantastic for you. But, remember that those animals are given like a 10 year amount in one dose (OK I may be over exaggerating a little). But if you do continually drink or eat things with fake sugar in it then chances are it's not too healthy.

You need to read the ingredients on the flavored water to know if its the same thing. Some flavored water has nutra-sweet (or something like that) and some don't.

Consuming a large amount of substiture sugars, will make you body crave actual sugar, thus you may or may not be eating extra real sugar in other foods, ro might be craving more sweets such as candy bars. Diabetic Patients go throught the same thing. Just watch your real sugar intake. And always consume foods in a healthy, moderate way.

I LOVE Crystal light! I'm not sure if it is bad for you. Are you talking about the fake sugar that is in it? Not sure. Probably. But not in small quantities.

I work in a bar. We use the lemonade ones and mix them with vodka. They are very good and very popular, and the extra added bonus is that the vodka should kill anything in there that is bad for you.

Cheers!

It has sugar, so as long as you don't drink it on a huge basis it should be fine.
