Or will it be like after World War 2 and Viet Nam? Our unemployment went too an all time high when they first got home? (I mean all who were unemployed not just those on unemployment benefits figures)
Our States systems are hurting now
If we are in trouble now (with State Services) what if we let Millions in on Amnesty and have the Soldiers too to care for (work, health). Has this factor been counted in our budget?

Those jobs were not here after any of the wars and many thought they would be--we still support many from Viet Nam-many-check your local VA hospital.

Probably not...especially since the present administration encourages the outsourcing of American jobs overseas.

I just saw "Golddiggers of 1933," a rather fun romp of a musical set during the depression. And, I was stunned because the very last song was "Forgotten Men"...a song about all the soldiers who had done their patriotic duty during World War I, only to come home and find that the country had no jobs for them...and now that they had paid with eyes and limbs and what not for their country, their country didn't really care to remember them. It is a powerful anti-war statement and a powerful statement to remember the vets. If you can't make it through the whole movie, then at least try to see the final section featuring "Forgotten Men".

No veteran should ever be left homeless or hopeless.

There are a lot fewer soldiers overseas than illegal immigrants here.

I see your point, that there will be jobs needed. But since this is the permanent military and the National Guard which had a variety of skilled workers, I don't think they will necessarily hit the same job banks as the illegals.

Obviously, we have to take care of our military. I'd even say we have to take care of any illegal immigrants in our military.

As to the other illegals, I think we need to know the flow will be stopped before we can address that properly.

All those soldiers already have jobs waiting for them. If not, I doubt any of them wants to be a nanny, chambermaid, construction worker or tomato picker. Soldiers get a really good pay in Iraq. That's why they go in the first place. Many of them don't have to start work right away when they come back.

Our troops, as well because the Allied troops, could all bypass domicile in case you inquire from me. The communities over in the middle East were engaged in conflict for hundreds of years-----it really is what they have performed because that previous testomony cases. Our involvement and presence over there has brought about us unnessary casualties, troop fatigue (both mentally and bodily), anguish, melancholy and grief for the households that survives over right here at domicile. no longer to coach procuring better international enemies than we are able to cope with; even some international locations that used to love us no longer do because of this nonsensical conflict. we do not BELONG OVER THERE! President Bush has orchestrated an quite unique and negative mess that the subsequent president, whomever which will be, has to spend their first time period to clean up. would God help us all...

They are called the forgotton men. And yes I read stories on how even though they were to be able to go back to their jobs, the job no longer existed for them. After every war. Looks like people still accept those lies.

Of course BUT........because so many will have medical and psychological problems the good jobs will be limited.

Families will be torn apart and many will be medically discharged with only a 40-60 percent payment. That equals roughly ......umm.....lets see about 600 maybe 800 dollars.

And the entire time... they were fighting....and defending and honoring their commitments......YOU all were crying about vegetables and loud music and schools (valid point but easily taken care of) and then you ask if they will have jobs.......JESUS........of course......they are our heroes!

Peace

JESUS I am a VET.......most of those who return work at the VA or other Government facilities........OMG.........WTF.......Jesus.......OMG.....WTF.........

How did all you #$@ING AMERICANS as you like to call yourselves suddenly forget you were American. Jesus

when the soldiers come home, they can fight the illegals for the jobs that pay less than minimum wage. their "commander in chief" caused these problems, he can fix them.

i agree that there will not be enough jobs for them when they come home, but you have to remember, they must support bush in order to join his plundering army. maybe those soldiers should make their voice heard now, so they're not screwed later. i'm making my voice heard.

Since most of them are reservist, they already have jobs waiting for them. As for the rest, it is going to depend on what qualifacations they have. Just look at the job boards on the internet. there are lots of jobs. The question is, are they qualified for them.
