A boston terrier or a pug. Chihuahuas are mean! (At least when they come to the vet they are.) Whatever you decide to get, call your local vet and ask them for the numbers for the local pug rescues (or whichever you decide) or go online and look for them. That way you still get the breed you want but are saving a pet who needs a home at the same time!

I've never met a Pug I didn't like. Then again, I never met a Boston Terrier I didn't like either. They're both wonderful dogs. I have met many a nasty Chihuahua, but I always blame the temperment of a dog on it's owner. If I had to pick my favorite, I'd have to pick the Pug though. Chihuahuas are adorable, but they are delicate. They get cold easily and can get sick. They also can be difficult to train and have that terrier like stubbornness. The Boston Terrier is one of the few native American breeds, so that makes them special. They're also highly intelligent. I don't know...so hard to choose! I guess I still lean towards the Pug...I just find them soooooo cute!

You really have to make this decision yourself! I am no dog expert, but I will share what I do know.
I would not go with the pug. I have never had one, but I have been told that they slobber a LOT. I would not like the mess.
I had a terrier mix one time. He was by far the smartest and most loyal little dog I ever had. He was a rescued dog, so he had some quirks, but he was a little sweetie. The only dog I ever had an emotional attachment to. He was great with children – even small ones.
Chihuahuas are also known to be smart and loyal. However, they are feisty and can be snippy. They are not always the best dogs to have around children or even nervous adults.
Just my 2 pennies.

All of them have different personalities. Maybe you should do some research on the internet and find out what each dog is like.
Pugs are normally very hyper and hard to train the first year or so. Same with Chihuahua's.
A Boston Terrier can be very yappy and hyper.
Why don't you search www.petfinder.org and find a dog that you can save.

Get a boxer.
Okay, not one of the choices. I vote for the Boston Terrier. Chihuahua's are #1 mean as snot and #2 hard to spell.

Get a pug. They are adorable. Chihuahua are a little too snippy for me.
and, they always reminds me of Paris Hilton. And I do not like her.
terriers are okay.....but, I would go for the pug in this case.

check out each one and see which one you have a better bond with....boston terriers are cute, pugs are loyal and lovable....chi chi's (as I call them) can be unpredictable, but they are still good dogs since all dogs can be unpredictable. You have to see which one you feel more comfortable around and which one you enjoy more. They are all cute dogs. You might also run a health check on each, see how expensive it would be to have one or the other. I couldnt find a good link to give ya but I looked.
