what honda is it?
because if it's like a honda carol or an s600, the beetle cacks all over it. hell, i'd take either the VW type 2 or the new re-bodied Golf chassis items over a lot of their 80s and early/mid 90s output, before they figure making cars that were interesting and good might make better sense than horrid old granny-cars.
but the veedub would be so much history in the face of an insight, jazz, or a newstyle civic (esp type R)
PS if you're going to blindly follow the nationalists (just because it's made in your country doesn't make it good - i'm a briton and i can point to Rover as a shining example of this silliness), for the love of jimmy get a ford focus, its about the only half decent car you guys make that isnt based around giving an enormous truck engine some wheels and some seats (and it's STILL a european design). And Fords are one of the very few "american" brands that are actually american. (even if i can't agree with your reasons, i feel i should at least try to prevent you both throwing serious money away on a bad car, or being sold up the river "supporting" and an industry you think is yours but actually is'nt.

VW 's have one of the worst service records of all cars made. Honda has one of the best. What else can I say...pretty is as pretty does. Good luck

Both Volkswagen and Honda, make an excellent quality product, for a very fair price. They are both extremely reliable automobiles. You can't go wrong, with either brand.

HONDA! There are many aftermarket parts for all Hondas than beetles! You can have a fast Honda any day than a beetle! turbo or supercharge it.

booth are good cars. Now do you want to feel the road or drive in comfort? I like German cars cuz they give road feel.
