Labs are fairly easy to train and are very intelligent. If you've never done it before, you'll need to learn with the dog so I'd recommend an obedience school.

PetSmart or your local vet. They have the best information. In my personal experience, other than huskies, labs are one of the hardest breeds to train because of their intense instincts and high energy.

I have a black lab and he's wonderful. He's very stubborn, but as he's aged, he's mellowed. Any way, this will give you breed info.
