Or is black hair considered brown? Anyways, our class is having a competition to dub black hair. The best we've come up with is "raven-haired". Anyone got any more creative ideas?

Some people consider black hair very dark brown. I think that only some Asians have actual black hair. The person who said brunette is also right.

ebony, raven, midnight... but there are shades of black hair with different natural highlights... everything from silver highlights to natural blue highlights... so it depends.
