A sin is falling short and missing the target according to God's rules. These Rules are to help you to live a good like here and how to go Heaven after our death,
It actually means Falling Short.
Missing the Mark or Missing the Target.
Sins Hurt us and God's people in general. Also we need to Honor Our Lord, Keep Holy the Lords day, Do Not use the name of god in van.
Keeping the 10 Commandants to the best of our ability. Avaiding the occasion of sin.
Christianity is not a faith for Sissy's.
Staying close to God and the Sacramentd
We need all of the Grace we can get for the job we have to do.

This is a Biblical question, so let's answer it from the Bible: 1 John 3:4 " Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. " What law? God's. So sin is anything a person does that God said should not be done.
(Sin could also be NOT doing something that God said SHOULD be done.)

everything you do is a sin, because you are to follow gods plan that is in the bible, but you only have a clue of what that plan is.
so every time you think you commit sin, that is why you ask for forgiveness every day

Sins is plural for sin. A sin is something that God doesn't want You to do (steal, be jealous, lie, cheat etc etc etc). Sinners are people who commit sins.
