It will not be a secret because the Bible says the following things about it:

1. It will be audable.

"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first"

2. It will be visable

"Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven."

The rapture, although many believers of the Book of Revelation think it will happen, is not mentioned at all in the Book of Revelation. The Rapture is an event before the Anit-Christ takes power; this is when all "true Christians" (those who take Jesus of Nazareth as their Savior/Messiah) will be taken into Heaven. All others will remain on Earth, and will have to endure the years of natural disasters, and eventually the Anti-Christ coming to power. The Book of Revelation ends with a battle between the Beast (Anti-Christ) and the small resistance force made of converted Jews and Christians (meaning, they converted to Christianity). Near the end of the battle, a light from Heaven destroys the Beast, and Jesus once again comes to the world. Like I said before, however, the Rapture itself is not part of the Book of Revelation. Therefore, even if Revelation is an accurate prophecy (which I doubt), we cannot include the Rapture at all. I hope that helps.

Read both the Bible and then Left Behind the book.. between the two you will have a good idea about what the Rapture is.
Go here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rapture and it will give you enough info to get the idea.

Jesus is coming to get the saved.. the ones who believe love and have given themselves to Him... Thos only ones who know are God/Jesus. The rapture is the moment when He takes us from this Earthly Place and we then asend into Heaven in the Kingdom of God and await the end of times/tirbulations to complete.. then we will be made anew and then brought back down to His new perfect Kingdom here. Rapture also will apply to the dead who are saved, they will be brought up and re-united to their now perfect bodies. All of us will be perfect and made whole. Sitting at the fott of God awaiting our time to begin His new Kindgdom.

According to 2 Corinthians, "the Lord shall return with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first, then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord."

The Bible says that the end times will be "as the days of Noah"-this is generally interpreted as widespread sin and lawlessness ("as Sodom and Egypt"). Looking at today's society, it's not hard to think that that day is not far off, though the Apostle Paul wrote that he was looking forward to the return of Christ; people 2,000 years ago thought that the Rapture of the Church was going to be rather soon, but "No man knows the day or the hour."

Hope that helped

The Rapture does not exist, only the Second Coming. Jesus comes Just Twice, The Incarnation and at the second coming.

The rapture is the moment when all Christians are carried up to heaven, prior to the lengthy destruction of the earth via plagues and the darkening of the sun, etc. Those who do not get carried up to heaven will suffer and die, eventually ending up in hell, according to Revelation, the last chapter of the Bible.

read the Book of Revelation in the Bible for a clearer picture but read a version that you can clearly understand like the New International Version, not the King James which is sometimes unclear. But the previous reply is correct and to the point,..its the moment when those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior get carried up with Him into God;s heavenly kingdom....those who have not accepted will be left on earth during a time called the Tribulation in which people will be begging and pleading for the Angel of Death to take them but God will not allow them to die. Plagues will be set upon the earth and untold horrors as well as Satan takes control of the Earth in his last attempt to keep as many souls as he can from God.

Yeah. I got raptured by this chick once, and it only cost me $15.00. For an extra $10.00, she said she would even swallow my "holy water".

When people who believe in god the right way go to heaven and everyone else is left behind to suffer and eventually die and go on to hell.
