I have known this guy since I was 12, I am 16 now. I asked him at the begining of the summer if he would hang out with me, because I don't know of anyone around here to hang out with. He says that it will be cool, but I don't know if he is inviting me places out of pitty, because he said he would, or if he likes me. When we go places he holds the door open, even when he has a large pop corn and a drink. He tells me goodnight when we get through texting eachother at night or if I get back from going somewhere with him.He gets me to call him when I get home safely (even though I started doing that to him first) He invites me to go to the movies with him when he goes and today he text me and asked me what I was doing tonight, and he told me that if he does anything tonight he would call me(in his words that means text). So is he inviting me to go places with him out of pitty? Or what i'm sooo confused?

Don't worry about it, he's doing it of his own free will, whatever his reason. The fact is you don't know a lot of people there so even if he does take pity on you, that's great.

Be carefull what he ask for next. You have the mind of a 12 year old and very little street/life experience. Watch out girl!!!!!!!!!!

sounds like he likes you. sometimes when you've known someone for so long you might start to have feelings. especiallysince you say you two have grown up together. you get to that age where you start to notice the changes in each other's bodies and hormones start to take over. why not just ask him how he feels. it's that simple.
