All grocery stores should accept them. Food stamp benefits are issued to households on an electronic benefit transfer (EBT) card, called the Independence Card. Sort of like a debit card.

Nearly every large supermarket (and many smaller food-sellers, bakeries, vendors, specialty-food and convenience-stores) accept the food stamps/card for food purchases.
