If you did read the bible cover to cover, you would have to still read it over again a number of times. It is the living word of God. God Can touch you and teach you with the same scriptures. They will mean diferent things to you as your understanding increases.

I had read the Bible cover to cover 28 times by the time I was 18 years old, then began studying it topically. I have been studying it topically for 20 years.

I do not try to convert anybody to Christianity. I believe it is each person's obligation to find God in their own way and time. If I pervert that process, I blaspheme God's own plan.

Just my opinion based on what I have learned in the 38 years of studying God, religion, the Bible, and spirituality.

Um, excuse me. First of all I have read the Bible cover to cover. Second of all, it's not out job to 'convert' someone to Christianity, The Holy Spirit will do that.

I didnt need to read the whole bible to realize that Jesus Christ is real and that He had already done a miracle in my life. Secondly, the Bible does say in Mark 16:15 to "Go ye into all the nations and preach the gospel..." So since I am not a preacher I will witness and tell people the goodness of Christ. The Holy Ghost will convict then...

No. Ifind that some books (such as Chronicles) are simply geneology. I do not think it is a requirement the read the Bible from cover to cover to try and minister to God's people. I mean-sure it would be a plus but we are talking about progressive sanctification. My point is that reading does not make you a believer it is the practice of what you have read (which should definitely not be the same from day to day).

Although I am a Muslim, this question can be addressed to everyone no matter their religion is.

Grasping holy books mandates us to:
- Read it.
- Interpret it correctly.
- Understand it.
- Practice it.

Many would read, few would interpret properly and fewer could understand it and the least few would practice it.

To convert anyone from one religion to another will not be through wars, nor imposing and not even through showing that you are right and others are wrong.

If you see a good example of holy book walking among us, this would convert others to follow that role model.

Also, to help any one convert, you need more talent so that you become more open to other’s point of view and you need to guide them instead of not criticizing them.

Finally as good examples have become rare, you should be your own guidance through going through all religions of interest to you so you decide for yourself. At the end of day, who believes in Judgment day, know that no one you can blame but yourself for not doing your homework while you were living.

In Quran, God stated clearly that “Those who know fear God the most” Knowing is a trait of scientists and those exert great efforts to observe and reason properly and so they know how to take the correct path to what God promised them.

It doesnt matter how many times you read the bible from cover to cover, God will always show you more that He feels you need to know and are ready to learn.

Jehovah's Witnesses read the entire Bible as a congregation every two years. There are elders in my congregation who have read the Bible as many as 30 times!

Or betetr yest, read the bible and *don't* try to convert anybody to christianity.

Why must some people push their religion on other people who don't want it?
