I'd like to get my sister a custom wedding garter and I found a decent looking site...

Should I order her one or get a gift certificate? What colors would be best? I'd really like to suprise her with it and I know she loves blue but at the same time I'd like her to have a say in it...LOL! Any suggestions?

Depending on how much you want to spend, the old saying "something blue" could be transformed to every shade of blue you can find. Maybe you could order a whole box full of tiny garters for wedding favors in multiple shades of blue. Each garter would be the size of a napkin ring.

If you want to order one, get blue. To make it more unique, do what I did for my friend. Buy a musical button (the ones they put into stuffed animals and that) at any craft store. Get one that plays the wedding march. Cut two round pieces of felt and make a little pocket, put the button inside, sew closed. Cover in lace and sew a ribbon onto it. Tie onto the garter. remove before the toss. My friend liked having a piece of her garter to keep for herself.

Get blue. That way she can follow the tradition and wear something blue. Mine was blue and if you'd like to get her something then go for it. Its not like she keeps it anyways. Her husband flings it out to the guys anyways and the one who catches it keeps its. My brother-in-law caught mine.
