Jesus established the New covenent. He chose 12 men as Apostles to represent the 12 tribes of Israel. The Christian Church has replaced Israel as God's chosen people. Jews and Gentiles have come together to form the New Israel: The Christian Church.

Victor ious: It is not anti-sematic. Jews can achieve salvation. God loves everyone. However, now Christian Church is the New Covenent.

I don't know. However, seeing that most Christians read and study the bible, including the Old Testament, even if they don't still follow it, it's still important to them, and so is it's main subject, the Jews. I believe that even if they don't consider the Israelis god's chosen people anymore, they still consider them important in some way.

Because the Jews are still God's chosen people. They occupy the holy land given to them by God when Moses led them out of Egypt. Most Jews still have not accepted that Jesus Christ was and is the Messiah, therefore I do not consider them to be part of the Christian Church unless they are Messianic.

good joke
its funny how a all mighty all knowing G-d suddenly decides to change his mind?
answer me one thing. If I got this corretly the entire nation of Israel stood at the foot of Mt Sini and G-d gave them the "old" covenent, but to enstate the new one Jesus was seen back from the dead by about 2 dozen people and that was recorded over 100 years after the event.
funny, it seems to me if G-d wanted to enstate a new covenent that he would do it in a way that would be atleast as great as the first.

To correct your question, only some christians feel that way.
"The Jews refuse to accept the Good News, so they are God's enemies. This has happened to help you who are not Jews. But the Jews are still God's chosen people, and he loves them very much because of the promises he made to their ancestors. God never changes his mind about the people he calls and the things he gives them."

I really wonder if most of you make this stuff up as you go along! I am more amazed every time I read answers like these!
A great many of these answers are BLATANTLY anti-Semitic, and to Wayladuley - the Bible is most certainly NOT the infallible word of God, but the VERY fallible word of man! Maybe if you stopped worrying so much about your religion, and showed a bit more concern with your SPIRITUALITY, we would all be better off!

Israel was a chosen nation and in the spiritual sense of the Word, Israel means the church as does Jerusalem.

You completely ignored the Apostle Paul's writings haven't you. Paul said of every good thing and of every bad thing, to the Jew FIRST and THEN to the Gentiles so there is an equality.
What you are saying is absolute antisemitic. Go and repent before God for defying his orderly system or reward and punishment. You hate Jews bucko.

Israel will always be the Chosen one because God doesn't go back on His word.
It was sealed with a blood covenant.
Jesus brought forth a new covenant.
