Well, my name says it: Animal_lover. My mom found a stray Beagle once. His ribs were showing, he was wining, he was obviously pretty sick. We took him to the vet and spent TONS of money on him. The next day, he was acting perfectly fine. But the next day, he ran away. My mom and I love animals soooooo much. We've taken in so many strays, it's not funny. We found all of their homes except for one. It was another Beagle. She was sprayed by a skunk, her ribs were showing, she was panting like she could'nt breath, but she acted happy to see us. We tryed to find her owner because we could'nt have a dog! My dad did'nt really want anymore animlals- one cat was enough for him. But, we could'nt find the owner for her. We had planned already planned a trip for Mexico which was in about 7 days, so we had somebody take care of her while she stayed at our house. We named her Katie. While we were in Mexico, the person taking care of her called us and said that Katie might be pregnant, because her belly was growing rapidly. When we came back home, after our trip, Katie was litteraly 1 foot in diameter!! She was going to have puppies!!!!! In about 2 weeks, she had her puppies. There were SIX of them. We could'nt keep them all, so we waited for 2 months and sold FIVE of them. we were aloud to keep one!!!! We kept a girl, and named her Chloe. Now we have two dogs- that we never knew were coming in the first place. Know, we spoil our dogs to death. We've speant over $7,000.00 on dogs we did'nt plan on having. We don't care though, we will give anything for a stray dog looking for a home...Except- we won't keep anymore, we'll take them to the vet and find them a home. If this story does'nt help any, I'm sorry. I just love telling the story of my first dogs I've ever owned!!! You should keep the stray dog, love it like a family member, spoil it to death, spend money on it. It needs that.

God bless your friend!!!! And God bless that vet...not many would do that. I have been in the dog recue & rehabilitation business for over 30 years...I have gone to some pretty wild extremes to save an animal. Doesn't matter if it's mine or not, I would do the same for any animal that needed it.

I'm not a good person. I would chase down the guy who hit the
dog, pull him/her out of the vehicle, and make the bastard or
***** take responsibility instead.
