I think they did it enough already. And the amount of pups is effected by the breed of dog it is. Big dog versus little dog. Duh!!! She is pregnant by now and can be impregnated by more then one dog and give birth to puppies days apart. Give her a break will you. If you know so little about breeding you shouldn't even be doing it. If you are going to do it anyway no matter how much suffering you cause at least educate yourself.

The male can only fertilize as many eggs as the female has released. More sex does not mean more puppies. Give the poor girl a break and send the boy away. Unless there is something wrong with her, she is pregnant.

it does not matter the times your dogs tie (have sex). the number of puppies is determined by the breed of dog, and the number of eggs released at time of conception. small dogs (yorkie type) usually have up to 3 puppies....med. dogs (cocker) can have up to 10 (that is a large litter)....large breeds can have up to 15 puppies.....if you don't want her to have puppies, get her fixed as soon as she goes out of heat, if puppies are what you want, count 9 weeks from the first mating and you should have puppies with in a few days of that day. Good luck!

She could.. My friend ask her vet if her dog had sex more the once will she have more puppies.. The vet said it is possible for a dog to have as many puppies as the amout the have sex or more.. So be careful and dont let them have to much sex if it is a small dog, or if you dont want your dog to have problems or premutare puppies..

Wow! Are you serious? You might want to do a Yahoo search about dog breeding and litter sizes, or Google that question. It has left me speechless. Next, you might want to skip dog breeding as a career move.
