yeh but if he or she also has an upset tummy I would advise just water, as milk may curdle. Make sure you keep him/her as cool as you can, as a sudden spike in temperature will cause a febrile convulsion, which are really scary. Give him/her some childrens ibuprofen to take the temperature down, it's more effective than calpol and can be taken alongside calpol if needed.

NO!!! Milk breeds bacteria and forms mucus & will make the toddler even sicker if you give it the toddler.
Give the toddler some Juice, preferably one that doesn't have a lot of Sugar.
Apple Juice is always good. You should take the baby in to the Pediatrician for a examination.

Do you want to eat when you have a high temp? For most humans the answer is no. Why does giving a child milk comes to mind at a time when he is in pain and discomfort?
Try consulting a doctor because high fevers can be catastrophic in small children, especially infants. Also, allow a more mature person to help raise your child; it sounds to me like your mental hard-drive has crashed.

per her age and the fever, i'm having a guess it is an ear an infection. All you could truly do is save her mushy and hydrated until you notice the document the next day. Honey's suited - you could stack Tylenol and Motrin in case you could desire to. basically dose her by weight, no longer age, and be certain you do no longer exceed the dose limits on the two. Fevers of even one 0 five are not risky for infants this youthful, besides the undeniable fact that they are many times extraordinarily uncomfortable by then. Above 104 you start to run the possibility of febrile seizures, that are frightening yet many times no longer risky. protecting her hydrated is fairly significant and could help her physique regulate her temperature. (Dehydrated human beings do no longer sweat and could't cool their bodies.) I want I had some greater beneficial words of wisdom for you, yet that's basically going to be considered one of those long nights we mom and dad each and every so often have. If it is any convenience, i comprehend precisely what you're dealing with. My son had his one and purely ear an infection at 13 months. He spiked a fever of 104, and we spent the night conserving him and offering him fluids. We have been waiting to get his fever all the way down to 102 with the Tylenol/Motrin blend. desire your daughter feels greater beneficial quickly. :(

You can, but usually with a high temp, they'll throw it up. You might want to just stick to juices, or flat, clear, room temp soda's like sprite or ginger ale. Or if you are concerned about the baby's nutrition during the fever, try the Pedialite. I have also made jello water, (regular jello but don't put it in the fridge to gel) and frozen juice in dixie cups to encourage liquid intake during a fever. Hope all goes well with your little one!

I wouldn't recomend it. Milk is harder to digest for children If you have to give it to a toddler when they are sick (like for a nap) Try watering it down a bit. The after taste is still like milk but not as harsh on thier tummy.

It depends..as some children it doesn't seem to bother, but others will get sick from milk if they have a fever..it's almost like the high temp of their body curdles the milk....yuck....... waters and pedialyte are probably best

I wouldn't because with a high temp and their little bodies being so warm and the milk being cold, it could curdle on t heir stomachs and cause them to throw up. We never give our little ones dairy products when they have a fever.

I wouldnt. Best thing to give is some juice or water. If the stomach is upset milk will only make it worse.

You can but I wouldn't suggest it. Especially in the summer. It could upset their stomach especially with them already being sick. Try sprite or 7up. Also Powarade and Gatorade are good because it gives them the energy they need. My pediatrician told me that. It's better than Pedialyte. It has more nutrients where pedialyte is more water.
