Adam and Eve were created in God's image. That means they have the same features as God has. We are all descendants of Adam and Eve but more specifically, Noah. When Adam and Eve were created, they were told not to eat the fruit from the certain tree. So, being humans, they did. God was very upset and scolded them for doing wrong. They started corruption in the world. As the people of the world lead more sinful lives, evil was abundant. God did not like this. However, there was one godly family on the Earth. This was Noah and his family. They were called by God to make an Ark, put 2 of each type of animal in it (opposite gendered animals) along with themselves, and then when this was all done, the waters would come and Noah, his family, and all the animals would be the only ones living on the Earth. This killed all the evil and sinful people along with other animals and plants. When the waters receeded, they got out of the ark and praised God with burnt offering. These people in Noah's family increased in number from then to present day which involves all human beings. That's how we are all related. The reason there are so many ethinicities depends on where these peoples live. They if you will "somewhat change" to cope with their environment.
There's just one thing I don't understand.... Why do you think Adam and Eve were white people? It never says what ethnicity they were in the bible. I hope this answers your question throughly.

None of The Torah, The Bible or the Qur'an mention anything about Adam and Eve's colour. I wonder why you presume them to be 'just plain white'.
I have no idea what a religious person would tell you, but science does have a lot to say about the development of different skin colours, facial structures, resistance to illness and other characteristics that we often call 'race'.
There's a lot of quite confusing information on the internet, but something very user-friendly and fascinating that you might enjoy is this:
https://www3.nationalgeographic.com/genographic/atlas.html
Work in the Human Genographic Project is progressing quite quickly, and there's a good chance that soon we'll have definitive answers to your question.
Except, of course, for the religious types. They'll still be rationalising Adam and Eve.

If any of you Christians actually read the Bible, and paid attention, Adam and Eve were not the only humans created. It is a big gaping hole in the Bible.
On one of the days, God created people, male and female. It didn't say a man and a woman. It was in the plural.
Then, in the story of Adam and Eve, their two sons marry two unrelated girls. They seemingly came out of nowhere.
But the Bible is fiction. (I'm atheist, by the way)
Humans evolved from other creatures. Different mutations and adaptations changed the pigment of our skins, and created different races of humans.

Adam and Eve were the first created humans. Not necessarily the only ones.

Wow! I don't know anywhere in the bible that it said they were white. Maybe Adam was a black asian with nice indian cheek bones and maybe Eve was pale with eskimo features.

as early humans migrated out of africa they evolved certain adaptations based on their new environments. Those that moved to cold places like north europe and north asia became lighter in skin pigment and those who lived in harsh desert areas with constant sand storms evolved slanty eyes to protect them, etc....the blacks were the original humans so those that stayed in africa changed little...
there was no adam and eve

My biology teacher taught me that it all depends where you were born. Africans are darker because they lived in a hotter climate and needed melanin.. white are lighter because they lived in a warmer climate...Also there's something called hidden genes... My mom and dad have jet black hair, and I have bright red hair, get what I'm saying. That can cause variations in how people look...

its probably just meant to be a story of two people totally alone in the world. not able to see anything else, but then they see something else and lose that thing they had
maybe it refers to vanity
