muslimsm why can't you accept that the jews are Gods chosen people?

i am not a jew myself, but a christian, and you muslims claim abraham as your father, and claim to believe in the old testament, why then cant you accept the jews as Gods chosen people and stop claiming the right for yourselves, i am a christian, and i believe as the bible says that salvation is of the jews, not that i believe in the jewish religion, because they rejected the messiah Jesus, but so have muslims.

Hang on a minute. I thought Muslims looked to Allah and Mohammed as their Saviour/Prophet and Islam as their religion? Regardless, there is nothing on record that says Jews are the 'chosen people'. The only people who say this are Jews themselves, and these interpretations are based on THEIR interpretation of a 'Bible' written by fellow Jews...who played down their role in the execution of another Saviour of mankind.

If we all believe that the Lord/Allah/Jesus/Jehovah is our saviour (because God has many faces), we are ALL chosen people - not just one race or one nation of people and certainly not because one race of people has written a 'Book' biased in their favour...

Why ask such a stupid and ill-informed question on this board if not to provoke ill feeling?

first of all, a lot of people of different backgrounds don't believe the jews are god's chosen people, please don't make it sound like muslims are being particularly unreasonable in this respect
2nd, i am an atheist, and don't believe there is a god at all, but even if there was a god, and the jews were in fact his chosen people, then they can enjoy that priviledge in his heaven. on earth, they are as good as everyone else, and no better. that means that they can be questioned, as can their claims. need i remind you that the old testament was basically written by jews?
finally, if the book i am reading is correct (and i plan on doing a little research when i finish it to make sure), the muslims didn't reject the messiah jesus at all, they accept him fully as a prophet - just not as a god. by the way, did you know the word messiah does not in any way imply godliness, and that jesus was not considered an extension of god at all until some 300 years after he died, when a council of clerics took a vote and decided that he was?

Because Jews are liers, they are a cult and are racist towards others. They worship money and not God. They say you have to be born a Jew and can not convert as though they all showed up one day and then the list was closed!! Anywhere in the world the Jews live they suck the society of money and keep it amongst themselves. Just go down to any Jewish district and you'll see how greedy Jews are running their businesses. They hate the Nazi Germans but they can't help driving the Mercedes. They act like they were the only ones suffered in WW2, While some 20 mill+ died in the war. They sold their own kind to get out of Germany. They made it illegal in many countries to look at what really happened because they are afraid that somewhere there will be a list with the name of all the Jews who collaborated with the Nazi's and fled to America. They help Israel kill Palestinian babies and most of them will look the other way and if you criticize Israel they will label you as anti-semitic just to shut you up.....SO I ASK YOU HOW COULD A BUNCH OF LIERS AND CHEATERS BE GODS CHOSEN PEOPLE?

now lets start first of all muslims beleive in all the prophets jewish and christian from abraham, david, moses , jesus all of them .....
the thing with jesus is that muslims don't beleive that jesus was the son of god ....... which i think is logical because i don't beleive that god can have a son on earth because god is something bigger than what we can imagine .... mohamed is the last of these prophets this is why muslims beleive that their religion is an update on judism and christianism apparently the old jews when mohamed was around didn't accept the fact that he was of arab decent he was the only prohphet that was from the middle east they beleived that the new prophet would be of jewish decent because they beleived that they were the chosen ppl ... thats why jews and christians at the time didn't accept the new prophet sounds familiar doesnt it ? racism ummm 15 centuries ago .... the world hasn't changed that much has it ?

Hi I'm a Christian too. But you are wrong with what you say. Yes the Jews are God's Chosen people. But remember that Christ fulfilled the law when he died on a cross. We as Christians are the promised Israel, so therefore we are 'God's Chosen people'. Believe it because Christians have recieved Christ. The Jews have not just rejected Christ as Messiah, they have traded their birthright for ignorance. Look at Jacob and Esau. What did Esau do when he wanted a bowl of Stew, he traded it for his birthright. Don't you understand this is a mirror of what the Jews are doing now.
Your right what you say its not for the Muslims, but don't argue with them, share the gospel with them, love them, don't fight.
