Why do the God people feel the need to quote the bible at atheists, as if it will do any good?

for the same reason believers feel the need to spew bible verses and judgements at all the nonbelievers. you all cannot leave well enough alone and need to have the last word when god is mentioned. keep to yourselves and don't judge or try to persuade others to think the way you do. that's called communism.

Perhaps because atheists are taking a page from the Bible thumper's books and trying to cram their viewpoint down the believer's throats?

Turnabout is fair play. We are just holding a mirror up to their own closed minds. And they just hate that.
(At least atheists figured out the truth on their own, instead of being told what to believe by others.)

It does do some good -- if not for the believers, then for the other nonbelievers who sometimes need to know that they're not alone. And sometimes it's also fun.

Because I'm sick and tired of a religion controlled world. I want to make the world free, and even one religious person I can release from their ties will do to me.

Because they like to waste everyone's time distract us from what God wants us to do
