You have to have the CD that came with Windows XP. A tutorial of how to reinstall is found: http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/cleanxpinstall.html
Also, if you don't have the cd, sorry, it is EXTREMELY expensive, and a used copy won't work. Therefore, you are about $100-$200 dollars out.

If XP came included with your PC you might have been given restore discs (CDs). If not, maybe it's because some brands force you to create your own restore discs right after you bought the PC. In any case, you can contact your vendor and they should be able to sell you spare recovery discs at very low cost. All this is if you have a legal license (your PC should have a sticker glued somewhere on it). If not, you'll have to buy the full product and license, at as much as $500.

It should have come with your system. If you have lost it call up the manufacture and see if they can send you out another one. The cost can range from 150 to 225. If you never recieved one and you bought it from a mom and pops place and they did not give you the keycode let micorsoft know that piracy has happened and let them know who has done it. If its a dell you can use someone elses Dell CD. It will work on all dells. Same goes with HP Comp and all the others that give you CD.

Most likely you have some CD's that came with your computer to reinstall XP if your computer gets corrupted. See if you still have the CDs.
They are usually called "Recovery Discs".

I'm guessing your Windows came preinstalled? If you don't have a restore disk, all you have to do is go to the website for your computer and ask them to send you a restore disk.
I had XP Pro and didn't like it. I had to restore with mfg restore disk to get my regular xp back on.

You should have gotten a copy of it when you bought your pc. If not, you can purchase a copy at Wal-mart, Target, etc. Also, another way to do it is to take it to a pc shop which will install it cheaper than purchasing the CD.

You can just use the reboot disk that came with your computer, if you have to buy it'll cost you about 200 dollars.
