Any torture or murder is a crime. It is simply unacceptable.

But I will use the words of others on yahoo answers: this is war and it is expected.

What about the "Haditha" incident and other similar ones where the soldiers broke into civilian homes and shot them in the head, chest including women and children isn't this a crime? Isn't the girl / child alive going to be living in torture for the rest of her life reliving the incident every day of her life?

What about prisoners who are tortured and sent to secret rendition centers without being charged to be tortured? Isn't this a crime? If they are really terrorists, convict them openly and give them a fair trail in international courts so that may be an example to others.

I do repeat what I said at the very beginning that torture is not acceptable, but this whole war was based on lies and accordingly innocent victims from both sides are the ones who are paying.

What about the effects of depleted uranium used in Iraq and Afghanistan on the American and coalition soldiers? Is this a crime or justice? It is definitely a crime.

What about the psychological effects on these soldiers after they return home and end up committing suicide or becoming psychopaths killing innocent people at home; is this a crime or justice. Once again, it is definitely a crime.

Torture and killings only lead to more killings. It's a vicious circle with no end.

Only a twisted mind would say that this is justice. It's a crime. Unless a person has tortured, and murdered, you'd be hard pressed to say they deserve to have the same done to them.
Try looking up video footage of people being tortured, mutilated, and murdered. After watching such footage, you'll have a more balanced view on the subject. These acts are the very definition of evil. Whether or not you agree with the politics of why a soldier's been sent over there, it's another to say he deserves to be tortured, and killed because of it.

"American soldiers tortured, then murdered...a taste of their own medicine...is this really a crime or justice?"
LOOK HOW BLINDING POLITICS ARE, THEY BRAINWASH OUR OWN PEOPLE INTO SYMPATHIZING WITH THE ENEMY. ANYONE WITH A BRAIN AND A HEART KNOWS THAT THIS KIND OF TORTURE IS SICK AND DEMENTED. STEP OUTSIDE YOUR VERY NARROW-MIND FOR A MOMENT AND THINK ABOUT WHAT U SAID. U SHOULD BE THROWN IN JAIL FOR A STATEMENT LIKE THAT. TORTURE TO A TERRORIST IS BEING FORCED TO WATCH A WOMAN LEARN; EVERYTHING ELSE IS JUST NORMAL

a crime. not very many people were tortured at Abu Ghraib, despite what the liberal media will tell you. the Islamo-fascists did that to the soldiers because they are working for America, simple as that. it is not justice. those soldiers who were recently killed by the militants never tortured anyone.

Anyone who says it was justice is a piece of human garbage. You are not fit to lick the boots of an American soldier.

You invade a country illegally at the cost of at least 100,000 lives, torture its people (Abu Ghraib), and outright murder innocent civilians (Haditha). No wonder a lot of the locals are angry and resentful. What happended to these two soldiers was brutal, but I can understand the hatred one might develop for his country's occupiers.

it would be a crime, we are not like them. Nor do we WANT to be like them, we as a nation have already established the fact that we do not act on their level. It would just make us as unworthy as they are. There fore we play by the rules and win by the rules no matter what the circumstances. But that is just political talk if you'd like m to give you historical info that will back what I'm saying let me know. FYI: I understand where your coming from but look at the repercussion that would follow. It wouldn't help the situation any.

How the hell can you ask such a base question you sick piece of sh1t? Of course it's a very brutal crime, commited by those who cut off the heads of anyone who stands in their sick twisted way.

If this is your idea of justice then you need to get your head examined by a professional mental health expert.
