If she's going to run away, you're better off leaving her at home. I've seen some pretty heart-breaking situations of people on vacation looking for their lost pets. But you might want to have someone come in to take care of her.

Another thing you can do is board her. The local veterinarian where I live offers this service, if the cat is up to date with her shots.

There are cats who go on vacations just fine, but yours does not sound like one of them. It has to be a cat that comes to you easily. And, they need to be started in the car when still kittens or the car scares them too much. It is best for the cat if you put it in a vet or boarding home for the week. If you do want to take it with you anyway, make a test trip with the cat for half an hour and see how it acts in the car. If it is relaxed, take it, ok. If it is terrified, throws up, pees, etc. do not take it on the vacation.

When my family goes on vacation,we hire people that our cats knows and trusts to feed them and empty their litter boxes. It is not a good idea to let this cat outside. How can it run away from you if it's in the house. This is usually a lot cheaper then boarding the cat. You need to hire some one that cat likes though. Not some one it will hiss at.

You can to some places, if you get a room at a motel that accepts pets- such James Town, CA. But have the a/c on, and don't leave it in car! She wont run, if the Windows are up. Then before you get out of the car, at motel or at a city park, put a little lease on the car's collar, that way if she does run, like to when hearing the train, you wont lose track of her.

Uh... if your kitty runs away from you AT HOME, she'll do that on vacation, and then she'll be lost!!! That would be a big NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Kitty would be miserable. She'll miss you, of course, but it's better for her to be at home than "away" where she's afraid all the time.

I'm assuming by your post she's an outdoor kitty. Can you have friends/neighbors come over and feed and pet her so she has contact every day?

we left our 2 cats final 12 months for each week with somebody coming in to envision on nutrition/water and sparkling the muddle container. forward of my leaving I slept with 2 tub towels, as quickly as we left I positioned a towel on each and all of the cats prominent slumbering spots. The cats did nice. They have been very needy and clingy as quickly as we first have been given decrease back (which I basically enjoyed) yet as quickly as they have been particular we've been staying they went decrease back to the fewer affectionate cats that they are :(

It's a vacation. you get away from things for a while that includes your cat. Relax leave her at a animal shelter, she'll be fine.

if you take your cat-poor kitty may get lost and youll never EVER see her again!:(
if you leave your cat-kitty may be sad but yu would know she would be there for you when you get back and you can spiol her to death!

__________ __________ _____________ ________

Fill the good slots with Fill the bad slot with things
things that would make it good that it would make it bad if
for her to come(-for example she came(for example{she
{snuggles every night-dont have may get lost,ran over,frighnd

Get someone you trust to take care of it, or hire a petsitting service.
