There are just a few types of response that one can make to a question like this:
A) God doesn't exist, so the question is meaningless
B)God is sadistic. Since He or She is responsible for everything, then He or She created evil, which is sadistic by definition.
C)Our understanding of God is wrong (or limited, based upon partisan scriptures, faulty scriptural passages, and bad theology). I prefer this third explanation. If you stick with only one set of scriptures (the Abrahamic {the Torah, the New Testament and the Koran}), you will get a version of God who is jealous, vengeful and angry. But if you study other scriptures, such as the Vedas, you can come away with an entirely different understanding of what the Divine is and what it is all about. Comparative religion is very revealing.

Where to start? Well, the main question seems to be that it wouldn't be fair give a human a command that he could not understand and then punish him for disobeying it. I can agree with you; that wouldn't be fair! According to the Biblical account, however, that wasn't the case.

How do we know that Adam and Eve were intelligent enough to understand what was being asked? Because, in the first place, when Eve was asked about it she replied, " We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which [is] in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die." (Gen. 3:2) Also, after they ate from the tree, they hid out of shame and them tried to pass the blame from one to another when God questioned them about it. If they didn't know they'd done wrong, why would they hide and then not take credit?

So they understood what was right and wrong. If you're wondering about their understanding because of the tree being called "The tree of knowledge of good and evil," here's the logical explanation: Adam and Eve were surrounded by everything good (I mean, read the description of the garden!), so they had a knowledge of that. However there was nothing evil-so they had no knowledge of evil-except through the tree of knowledge of good and evil, which God gave them fair warning about.

I hope that is a help. I suggest you check out http://en.bibleinfo.com/old/H5/bil04510.htm

WHY DO SOME HUMAN fathers beat the crap out of their Children everyday? Why do Mother smoke meth while they are pregnant? Why do pedophiles rape and kill Children? Why do Human Parents neglect their Children?

God doesn't create the problems...Humans do. God realized from Day one he screwed up when the Devil had more influence over Adam & Eve than he did. It's been a struggle ever since. You can either be good, or bad...it's your choice. If you want to go to Heaven you gotta be good, your reward is Heaven. If not you can burn in Hell. You know it's kind of like my kids. If their good, they get to go to the beach...if their bad they get to weed the garden. It's not a hard Choice for them. They are good most the time. I just don't see why this concept is so hard for some to grasp. Maybe it's their upbringing...(see paragraph 1) THe main idea of God is to be good. Period.

Do you think that if God gave you only one rule to follow-you could follow it? . Think about it. We look at all the chaos today and all the choices we have to make-we don't know which is right .....and so on. Just think if God gave you a chance for a new start. Could you make the right choice if you only had one rule to follow?
That's pretty much the way it is now. Really you have only one choice- trust God or man-which will it be?

reliable question. properly if God positioned us all in heaven with out delay then the position with be overcrowded and complete of low lifes. So God keeps the get proper of entry to record small and unique - kinda like a gated community or a Republican usa club. Now God's no longer stupid - in case you understand you're not any more worth you'll provide up attempting and God gained;t have a lot exciting at the same time as he sends tidal waves or earthquakes to dick with the undesirable. So he tells all the undesirables that they are all going to get in yet they ought to maintain on with those quite stupid regulations and sing a collection of previous dumb songs ( similar to a frat pledging ceremony) although, at the same time as they finally get there after mountaineering thousands and thousands of mile of invisible staircase - the doorman (St Peter) exams em out and the bouncers (Gabriel and the lads) provide em a competent kickin and deliver em down the chute to the position they belong.

poor thing.. you don't know how to spell "certain"... he created us perfectly. those two crazy people who were the first to live messed it up. God knows we aren't idiots. We have self-control and we choose what we do and don't do.. if you mess up, ask for forgiveness, mean it and it's okay. But what did Adam and Eve do? They acted like children "He did it, no she did it" mess... The tree was there because they could have just listened to him and they would have been fine... And by the way, there were other trees, plenty of trees they could have ate from, but instead of listening to the person who created them and helped them, they listen to that loser Satan, who they never helped them. If they asked for forgiveness after getting thrown out of the garden, they will have went to heaven. But for future reference, don't call God an a**....

To tell you the truth...God is a jealous God. He does give free will. It is your free will to believe or not believe. You are missing the point on free will. Heaven and Hell exist. God wants those who truly believe in him to join him in eternity. Pretty much, everyone else who chooses not, has had free will to choose him or not. You can live your life abundantly and enjoy life with a life through Christ. Actually, you can enjoy it better with Him on your side.

I don't think God created us to suffer and burn in hell if we don't do certain things that please him. He gave us free will to make our own decisions. You have the choice to do the right thing or the wrong thing. The decision is yours.
Society today is so lax and the unthinkable from 30 years ago is now acceptable, and the norm. God does forgive if asked.

Because God, like many other supreme beings, has a slight issue with letting things run their course and trust in the good faith of Their creations. It's called parenting and alas, it won't get any better any time soon.

he did not create us to suffer and burn in hell...hell is nothing more than the common grave of all mankind

as far as suffering goes; isn't there enough suffering in Life itself?

When i die i will be given a choice whether to be reborn or to stand around the throne of god for all eternity singing holy holy holy.........even standing aroujnd the throne, i will have the opportunity to be reborn if i happen to get tired of giving eternal praise to the creator.....and so what if i do, it only lasts a hundred years or so....then its back to death and the Choice.
