Are you the owner of a car trying to sell a car with high mileage? If so, I would emphasize the fact that the maintenance schedule was adhered to--show the receipts that you've kept. Explain that the car is in perfect working condition for the mileage indicated.
If you are thinking about buying a car with high mileage, I would want to see receipts for all the maintenance and repairs. Also, unless you absolutely love the car, I would look for one with lower mileage.

Well, like anything else, time and use wear on a car, but it's not necessarily bad, if you keep on top of maintenance. If you check your car regularly and replace or fix anything worn, the car will run practically forever. The great thing about a car is that you can replace everything if you want to, and it runs like new, unlike people.

High mileage due primarily to city driving can be very hard on a vehicle whereas high mileage from highway use (i.e; interstate long distance driving) is not nearly as hard on a vehicle. Maintenance, maintenance and more maintenance is the key to offsetting high mileage under any driving conditions.

Only if they are mostly city driven or beaten badly on the streets such as racing, jackrabbit starts, jamming on the brakes or no maintenenace.
Highway miles are easier on your car, less rpms and less abusive, runs cooler.

With miles comes normal wearing of your engine, and all other mechanical and electrical parts. If you maintain your vehicle properly by doing oil changes, regular alignments, and smog checks, you should be fine! Anything you take care of will last you!

Not really if it's mostly highway miles, it's the stop and go (city) that's not good.
