I mean he's been played by so many good actors (such as Rodney Dangerfield, Harvey Keitel, and Al Pacino) and has such lovable roles. I think if he is real he's trying to get the message across that he's a GOOD guy.

Fist off, if your impression of a dogmatic character is influenced by cinima, you have some issues to work out with a psychiatrist. Da movies idn't real.
Now remember that the only accounts of Satan are told from the view points of the God worshipers. Just as any other historical figure, Satan's image was made to look bad because he's the opposition of the people that wrote about him. There has been some Satanic character in every religion known to man. The Persians had Arhiman, Japanese had Emma-O, Greeks had... well, a number of different dieties that all represented elements of Satan; my favorite to site is Prometheus, who's Roman name is Lucifer.
Satan has been indespensible presence in all holy texts, as he gives a comparison to live your lives by and a threat to keep you in line. But if you really pay attention to where his character came from and just exactly what he stands for, you'll find he is nothing more than human nature and survival instincts.
I personally see him as a symbol of strength.

IF ADAM hadn't a let Satan into GOD's CREATION (EARTH and STAR SYSTEM) that GOD CREATED for MANKIND, there would be no killing , stealing and destroying. Satan was an Angel (Angelic Spiritual Hardware Servant(not a Human Being) with a Free-Will that's is below our's. Angel's can't chose to speak their own Word's. THAT is what got satan kicked-out (rebellion) to begin with. If there wasn't any killing, stealing and destroying going on, EARTH would almost be like HEAVEN, now wouldn't it????? Your call!!!!!

there is no Satan...if we accept that he exists and controls things, that would mean that there is something that is out of
God's reach, that he doesn't control everything...and how could this be,if God is all mighty?it could only be if he is not...so,if Satan exists that would mean that God is not actually a God...plus,as someone says ,this is all mythology-he is a kind of boogieman,a scarecrow for humans,"humancrow"...he exists only in our imagination-an image created by the church, just like the big,bad wolf that will eat the children if they don't go to bed early...

Satan wants what's wrong for you. Deny that and you'll go insane; never knowing what is right.

Go ask him yourself and see if he lets you comeback. Everything evil that happens in the world is his doing. No one else.
