Put the litter box in a place that the dog CANNOT get in: behind a locked door with a cat-flap cut in the bottom of it, behind a babygate that the dog can't go over/under/thru, etc.

OR... buy or make a 'top-entry' cover for the cat box, with a small hole in the lid, a shelf inside that the cat lands on, & the litter box one leap further, clear down on the '1st floor'.

Most dogs will eat cat poo because it smells like cat food. Keep them away from the litter box because they may get worms or worse get obstructed from the litter.

So funny......we had a beagle who whenever he was allowed to roam a park or the front yard.....would find every pile of dog doo (from others) and roll and roll and roll.

He had MORE baths than any dog on the face of this earth......!

Now eating it.....we never had that problem! I think I may have gotten sick if I saw that.

Good luck and I would suggest one of those litter boxes with cover and little door......he can't get in then.

Peace

because all dogs like to do is eat and if you dont want him to do it then you will have to train him by punnishing him for doing it and rewarding him for not doing it.
