and how come having a free will to end my life is a sin? You have to accept to enter the exam before you are subject to its rules. This is the free will I guess.

As a Reincarnationist I would say you have always existed, you are a part of the divine creative energy, and you are - like everyone else - an agent of free will.

Because you don't. All occurrences, including your actions, are determined by factors, which have in turn been determined by factors, etc. The law of cause and effect demands that every cause is itself an effect: therefore, your impulse to do this or that is itself an effect, the outcome of a sum of factors, something conditioned. What you *do* have, however, is the *idea* of free will, the *belief*, the *feeling* that you're doing things of your own free will ("spontaneously").

The idea of free will, combined with the idea that some actions are "good" and some "evil", have spoiled and even ruined many men's lives. Nothing is inherently good or evil; good or evil are *subjective value-judgments*. And even if they weren't, you'd still have no real choice: as Calvin taught, who introduced the doctrine of predestination, i.e., the idea that it is already determined who goes to heaven and who goes to hell. This was one step in the right direction: the next step was: to dispose of heaven and hell (the afterlife) altogether, and adopt the scientific model, which teaches that one dissolves into one's elements after one's death ("dust to dust"), and which does not entertain the idea of a "soul" (or "God"), as there is no evidence whatsoever that points to the existence of one (though there is no proof that it doesn't exist). This all follows from the idea that the Logos (usually translated as the "Word"), i.e., that *logic* is divine: logic, the scientific method, has undermined the foundations of metaphysics.

Every heart has a soul and every soul has a mind and every mind has free will. Boy that sounds good I wonder if that is a quote written somewhere. Any way count your lucky stars or say your prayers that your mother had a safe birth having you. It seems she didn't do drugs or drink alcohol if you are healthy. So why do you want to test faith by committing a sin. Yes free will is still choice but a higher power still does something to put you on the right path.

Underneath the uncertainty of quantum mechanics could lie a deeper reality in which, shockingly, all our actions are predetermined

"WE MUST believe in free will, we have no choice," the novelist Isaac Bashevis Singer once said. He might as well have said, "We must believe in quantum mechanics, we have no choice," if two new studies are anything to go by.

Early last month, a Nobel laureate physicist finished polishing up his theory that a deeper, deterministic reality underlies the apparent uncertainty of quantum mechanics. A week after he announced it, two eminent mathematicians showed that the theory has profound implications beyond physics: abandoning the uncertainty of quantum physics means we must give up the cherished notion that we have free will. The mathematicians believe the physicist is wrong.

"It's striking that we have one of the greatest scientists of our generation pitted against two of the world's greatest mathematicians," says Hans Halvorson, a philosopher of physics at Princeton University.

Quantum mechanics is widely accepted by physicists, but is ...

I have news for you: None of us chose to be created. We do have free will, to choose whether to lead a good, productive, and moral life--or to commit felonies and sins.

Ending your life is against the law (in some states), and very definitely a sin. If you think about it long and hard, I'm sure that you will find some reasons for staying alive--even if the reason is not to hurt other people who love you.

First of all. You are here because your parents decided to have you.
You have free will up to your grave.
If you decide your life early, you'll be close ( on a spiritual manner)to the rotten matter of your body until your real time is up.
But remember you can do whatever you want whenever you want.
What you forget here is you elected to be incarnated and on your body, you are here for a major reason that has nothing to do with religion. It is a problem between your spirit and the justice of God, if you fail this time, there will be other times. But remember more suffering is required from you.

None of us have chosen to be created. But seeing as we are here, we may as well do the best we can. We were created with a need to love and be loved (among other things). That deisre to be loved can be turned toward God (the ultimate goal) or towards self, or things. See the pattern for free-will? We all make choices every day. What to eat, what to wear. We also choose whom we will serve...self or Christ.

mercy. You dont have to have a free will either. Ending your life is a choice, and there are consequences for it. You have the choice to commit that act or not.

You can avoid the exam by convincing yourself there is none. Doesnt matter, you're still required to take it, and you'll still be graded on your performance, or lack there of.

can you be asked if you want to be created before you are? I don't think so. But i do know that if you wish you weren't created, its because youre not happy. I find true happiness in the promise that god will bring a Paradise to the Earth soon, and though you may not believe it, it is in the Bible.
