I can not listen to a train horn without my heart sinking, It seems so scary to hear it. I always think that something bad is about to happen when it goes off.

I love the sound of train horns which is a good thing because I only live about 1/3 mile from the main freightline through this region. About 37 freight trains go through everyday....and I've lived here for 31 years.

Training a horse is a long and hard climb....it goes good and then can go bad real quick. When a horse is being trained it shud only have 1 person on it...if not while its learning it will confuse your horse and teach him bad habits may even cause anger. You need to let her know kindly since she's ur friend that u do not approve of her training and think its best if she does not ride your horse until he's ready for sumone else. If this doesn't go well have your trainer talk to her.

I have always been a fan of trains, and love hearing the horn of a train to wake me up in the morning.

My house is about 400 ft. from the tracks. During daylight hours, the trains go by silently. From 10 pm to 5 am they lean on the horn like there is no tomorrow. I hate the trains very much. I'm sure they will have a good explanation for this. Screw 'em, they do it because they are ---HOLES.

Not really, not at all, actually. And where I live I hear ships' horns all day long... those are creepy rather than frantic but no horns are scary :)

Geez, anyone who is scared or hates train horns, really needs to get a life...

Don't do something dumb like trespass on the tracks or play chicken, and you won't get hit - trains are on the tracks and stay there, don't go on them and you won't get hit.

I grew up next to a railroad track and the sound is very nostalgic to me.
