its weird how people who don't have the faintest idea on what is currently going on in the world are the first to have some political or personal comment on the last headline. right now on yahoo there is a headline on "tainted heroin". who gives a **** if some junky gets a bad dose? there are more problems in africa that we could ever know, go to cnn.com and type in africa and read some of those stories. terrorism is everywhere, but we are only interested with what directly effects us. we as americans are so ignorant to the rest of the worlds SERIOUS problems but somehow we need to warn heroin users about whats going on in the street, are you kidding me? the reason people are enraged about what happened to those guys is the fact that they could be related to any single one of us, a neighbor, somebodys student, their son. i am angry because i am a 23 year old member of the u.s. armed forces and it could have been me. and you people who think about the innocent civilians have a point to a certain extent. but roadside bombs dont make themselves and the sooner you realize that we are fighting iraq as a whole you will be better off. and whatever you do, dont say retailiate against someone who is spreading factual info. those rebels are animals. from the political view this is a war for oil, but the kid on the other side praying he will make it home could care less about gas prices right now.

I know what people in war are capable of and if we take off the blinders and view this event rationally we can trace it all the way to the cause which is the invasion of Iraq. Without this you are left with a non-event. Who made the decision to invade Iraq? I didn't see any point to it at the time and if you are true with yourself and able to think in any reasonable fashion you would have come to the same conclusion.
I will take this argument one step closer to a hypothesis that is a probable untruth, but I will argue from it. Iraq has WMD and they are very deadly. One, what is their delivery system? Two, if it is transcontinental in the form of flying drones where do they launch? Three, if it is not then why put troops on the ground in obvious danger of being exposed to them? The only conclusion I can make from this argument is that an invasion would be the last option of many options with the first being diplomacy.
I have yet to read anywhere of any serious negotiation occurring between the US and Iraq. Why? My only conclusion can be that the US knew that Iraq did not possess these WMDs or that they would have accepted casualties of a brutal nature upon the US invading forces by these WMDs.
Now, back to your question since we have determined the cause of it. Let us look at secondary and tertiary causes. Abu Ghraib comes to mind as a bastion of US torture and abuse. We should feel lucky the insurgents (not terrorists as they are defending their country from an occupation) did not photograph these soldiers being forced to wear panties on their heads, threatened by attack dogs, waterboarded or stood on crates with electrodes attached to their genitals, etc... Ramadi also springs to mind in that the casualties there were woman and children murdered by marines.
I don't mean to be harsh but sometimes I wonder if people really understand what war is. The US has made it acceptable to do all of the atrocities mentioned above because they themselves have done it. If you try to justify this with the bad apple apology then I will only say that you aren't even familiar with that whole analogy because if you were then you would know what that bad apple did to the whole bunch. I myself believe these actions are not the work of a bad apple but that is my belief.
As to war with "terror" you make up your own mind. I can not in my wildest thoughts and imagination think of a more ludicrous image than a war on an abstraction.

I wonder why they are capable of doing the same damn thing the US Marines did when they MURDER innocent Civilians. At least these 2 weren't civilians! And they weren't 3 years old!! And they did it several times and tried to cover it up!

I didn't say I was happy about what happened to the soldiers, because I am not. The Army weren't the ones murdering civilian children, it was the Marines!

You can lead the liberals there but you cannot make them care.

They think that what is happening is our fault. They will say Iraq did not attack us and dismiss the fact that terrorists train and are sponsored there.

They do not realize that our demise was being plotted long before Bush Sr. even took office and that it has only very little to do with oil.

They believe we are killing in the name of religion. We are not, our enemy is, and most of us only ask for his guidance and forgiveness.

I completely agree that terrorism around the world needs to be stopped, but not under the false pretenses that our president took us to Iraq under. If you did any research at all, you'd see that the fake we call president lied to us so he could control oil in Eurasia, and drugs in Afghanistan. It has nothing to do with terrorism! People need to wake up and smell the cordite that ex-military personnel smelled after the Pentagon explosion!
