No, homosexuals are not 'doomed' to be, they simpy ARE. Why doomed? You make it seem like a bad thing.
For all the dogmatic, closed-minded people here, homosexuality is genetic. Homosexuals are born homosexual and there's nothing you can do to change them. Their sexual orientation is not a CHOICE anymore than your heterosexuality is a choice. You simply ARE.
And on top of that, homosexuality is completely and totally natural. For all the Bible thumpers who claim that it's unnatural, take a look at the animal kingdom sometime - elephants regularly engage in homosexual behavior, as do chimps and dozens of other species.
Homosexuals are people just like you and me and they deserve to be treated equally.

Firstly, as several people have mentioned, 'doomed' implies that being homosexual is bad. In answer to you (apparent) question as to whether homosexuality is a result of nature or nuture, as with most things I think it is a combination of both. Apparently people with certain genes are more likely to be gay, but I don't know the science behind this. Equally, however, it does also depend on the society in which the person lives.

Anyone can repent and accept Jesus into thier lives as personal Lord and Savior. Anyone! No one is doomed. If you die without accepting him, that's where there is a bit of a problem!
