If you are going to make that a gaming computer then yes get the gig of ram plus get a good graphics card to put in there. But if your mainly using office stuff then 512 should be fine.

One 1GB stick is better appropriate. the pc will be in a position to get proper of entry to all the memory speedier because all of it is residing on one RAM module. If 2 x 512 MB is more cost-effective although, i'd bypass with that because the aforementioned % should not be sufficient to justify spending better money.

My philosophy has always been to buy the MOST memory that I could afford when I bought the new computer.. if you don't need it NOW.. you will soon!!! hahaahahaha!!

also.. high end games need all the speed, memory, and video memory they can get!

Go with a 1G. You won't be able to run some modern applications if you don't. No one ever regretted getting too much memory.

if you are going to listen to music on iTunes, go on MySpace, and type a Word document, all at the same time, go with 1GB.

if you use programs such as those mentioned above in moderation, go with the 512MB.
