Yes. Depending on where in Cali., you are about 1500-2000 miles away.

Even if the actual travel distance is under 2,000 miles, the airline may give you 2,000 or more points for the flight. I know that mine always seem to round up to the next 100 or 500 mile mark; it's never the actual flight distance, since that can vary depending on routing. If you take a connecting flight, they often round up the mileage on both segments of the flight.

Okay, first off, it's Minnesota... I should know, I live here!!! And yes, I drove from here to Cali, it's well over a thousand miles....

It's 1860 miles, but check the airline's webite for miles offered on that route. Their route map may show differently.
