When I'm eating I stop as soon as I feel full. I don't keep eating just because there is food still on my plate. When you over eat you stretch your stomach. Then it starts to take more food to fill it up. I mostly eat fresh fruits and vegetables. I'm 5'6" 115 lb.s and have been the same size from age 17 to 23(currently). I've even had a child, and got back to my normal size within 3 months after birth. It may be my gens, but I think eating right, and staying active is the key.

There are several things that you can do to lose weight, and keep it off. Firstly, eat balanced meals. DON'T SKIP BREAKFAST! Make sure that you get the right amount of foods from every food group. Check out the Canada Food Guide. Also, make sure you get some exercise. Start out gradually - that way you're not giving it all at the gym, and then burning out. So start going for walks after dinner. No time? Take the stairs instead of the elevator, etc.
Above all, dress appropriately to your body type. Don't wear clothes that are too big, or too small. Ask someone you trust to go with you and give you constructive criticism. Feeling good will help you keep up the regime.

Many thin people (like myself) were not always thin.

You have to change your lifestyle, to reach your goals. This doesn't mean a diet you stick to for a month, or working out occassionally. It means changing your eating habits, the types and amount of foods you eat AND committing yourself to a consistent routine. Only then will you see the results you're looking for and your quality of life will improve because of it.

First of all you should see a nutritionist/dietitian to establish your caloric intake as well as your physical health.
Some people have a fast metabolism and that makes it easy. However, if you are not one of them, then you need to eat small meals (1/2 cup of starch 3x daily, 4 small portions of protein(eg. 1 slice of american cheese), 3 cups of dairy daily, 3 small fruits and 4 portions of vegies. Eat your meals 6 times a day. Breakfast: 1/2 cup of starch or 1 proteinl w/skim milk
AM snack: fruit
Lunch: 1/2 sandwich w/2oz meat, lettuce, no fat.
PM snack: fruit
Dinner: 1/2 cup starch (rice or...), protein (meat or....), 1/2 cup cooked veggies, tossed salad with lemon juice.
Evening snack: fruit

6 meals a day sounds like a lot of food, however, for the body to burn it must receive fuel regularly in small amounts. Don't forget to excercise. Very important.

Being thin is a lifestyle and if you aren't thin it is hard to understand!!!!

We make the choice to be thin and we reap the benefits of it:-)

Explaining this is like explaining the color red to a blind person....you just cant

So put down the burrito go to the mirror and look at all the fat you have on your body and do some crunches

You have to eat health! exercise, if i eat out i eat a healthy salad, and fish or chicken, not fried! If you do this you will look and feel great now when you are young, and when you get older, it will also keep you young. Also keep sugar to minimum to none at all believe or not we are addicted to sugar but if you can stay away for 2 wks without sugar you pretty much have it out of you system. it is not easy but it can be done.

Reduce fat as much as possible. Count your calories. Exercise everyday.

Educate yourself. Try using the calorie counter at http://www.ediets.com to see how much you are really eating in a day.
