I put Frontline on my dog and it's been working. The fleas and ticks won't bite him now. Some times I do find them in his hair, but they are dead.

Dawn dishwashing liquid is the best cheapest flea shampoo and it works better than those expensive pet shampoos.

As far as a topical, Frontline or Advantage works great. It's been my experience that Advantage works better on cats.

advantix or frontline and for immediate results a flea bath...you can buy the shampoo at petsmart
