Anchor babies are citizens and are treated as so. The parents aren't being deported so be realistic. The laws that are past aren't going to reap apart families.

I think the 'anchor babies' thing should be abolished. I don't think dropping a kid on US soil should basically entitle you to citizenship...and our next US president is going to be facing down a tanned, tested, and ready Congress that will brook no bullshit on border policy...because that's what the current majority of americans strongly support, and we'll get it too. Foreign aid is one thing, but there's such a thing as 'too much'.
Mexico needs to go home, at the end of the day, americans are sick and tired of the sob stories and the weak-knee bleeding heart politicians that have basically aided and abetted this slow-motion subversion of basica american principles and more to the point, the relevant LAWS on the subject, and Mexico's been standing there too, promoting all of this. They should abolish 'la raza', and get it out of our american schools. Mexico's a separate country from the United States, they've got the means to support their own people, what we need to do as citizens is get more civically involved and clean up our political system to prevent it from being consumed from within by special/foreign interests whose net interest/allegiance to american citizens is a net ZERO. We elect our representation to go forth and represent ACTUAL american citizens, not the country of Nocashistan, nor the country of Squatterstan, nor Metooistan, nor the rest of em, but rather the United States Of America, not Los Etados Unidos Del Calexico or some other mutation/subversion of our currrent structure of 50 states plus territories. For too many years our politicians have been ignorant and too passive on the issue, and as a result all of this good-natured 'helping' has 'helped' the United States fall further in debt. Think it sucks in Mexico now?
Wait till red-ink dollar 15 trillion and the subsequent american economic collapse that could ensue as a result.

We need labor independence, meaning american workers working in american jobs, we need energy independence, co-incidentally both could be solved by a 50-state ethanol farming initiative, which could be sponsored without spending tax dollar ONE(other than maybe for some promotional advertising and some state initiatives to do further local promotion and education, but keep it 'on the cheap'), and we need people to get off their butts and GO VOTE. Voting is all that really stands between us as a country and being an unruly mob, that and the law, and I don't think the majority of US citizens want to see the country transform into one of the nicer 3rd world warlord states out there. Do you? I didn't think so. So, go vote, when you're given the opportunity to do so. Make YOUR voice heard so that state and federal government sit up, and listen to YOUR concerns on the border issue, and other issues too. No one knows you're unhappy with something unless you speak up about it....

I agree with Lamm, in that multicuturalism is not the same as the 'melting pot' into one society that made this country what it is.

I think assimilation and a common language are vital to our country's well being and unity.

I am not sure where anchor babies come in though.

I guess I only looked at one link. El Mexicano, parents and their children who were born here are deported all the time, as I understand it.
