My Mom knows this young man that she thinks is very mature and a great guy. She knows the mom really well and we've known the family for 10 years however i haven't hung out with this young man before. My mom seems to bring him up a lot and at one point made a comment about him being a possibility. She really likes him and seems to want me and him to get together at some point...when it would be the right time. From what i said does it seem like she has a desire for us to be together? Does it seem like she's hinting?

You already know she is but I don't think that's your problem. If you want her to back off, just tell her that while you think he is a nice guy, he may not be the one for you or the time isn't right for you. I know its hard when MOM is involved, just be honest and upfront so that you don't get any unwanted surprises down the line.
