A change of clothes if it will fit. If not, at least a change of undies (in case your luggage gets lost). Any medications you need for 2-3 days. Anything you need that is breakable. Your camera, if you're bringing it. A good book. a spray bottle of water or toner to spritz your face - airplane recycled air is icky and makes your skin look grey and dried out. Any cosmetics you're bringing with you, so your eyeshadow and blush don't get broken in your checked luggage.

Well I live in Saudi Arabia and I may only be 12 but I have flown back and forth from the US to Saudi Arabia tons of times. It depends how long the flight is, if its international you may need more supplies but if its a short distance, you need your wallet, money, id, and some snacks. You may also may want to bring a pillow because they don't allways give you the best or any pillows. Also bring your passport and your tickets for the flight. That just about would cover it all.

A CD player with your favorite music. A handheld video game with your favorite games. A book of word finds, sudoku, or crossword puzzles. A book to read. Lots of paper to write or draw on. A mirror. Make-up. Motion sickness pills. Pens and pencils. An address book just in case you make new friends on the flight. A parachute. Crayons. A portable DVD player. You could hide a pet.

Bring whatever you want as long as it is not a weapon or they might think is a wepon.
I suggest you not to bring a lot of things, just your ticket, passport, a music player and maybe a book, no more because it is heavy to be carrying a bag of 20 pounds for 3 waiting hours.

Definatly a decent mp3 player (with some spare batteries) and a good magazine, and maybe it's a good idea to take up knitting. You can easily carry it, it's light in your bag and you can make something cool, like a scarf.

Anything to make you comfortable in flight. Nothing too bulky though. Just your essentials should do. Like your favourite snacks, books, camera, beauty freshener, etc.
