open-faced hamburgers - mix ground beef with seasonings, shredded cheese and onions. Make patties very, very thin and about 1/2 inch bigger than bun. Put on buns and put in broiler. Keep an eye on them because if they're not thin enough, the bun will burn before the meats done!
