the first thing you need to find out is do you have dandruff or dry scalp?
Dandruff is a pale yellow flake you can see this best by wearing black and dry scalp is white.
The majority of people suffer from dry scalp and often mistake if for dandruff. dry scalp is treated by massaging your regular conditioner in to your scalp(its not just for hair) even though you have a full head of hair you can still get sunburned, or dry skin. Especially during the hottest time of the year.
Dandruff is a minor infection of the scalp and is treated with dandruff shampoo. I would consult a dermatologist or a cosmetologist they can give you the best direction to take concerning your particular situation.

It is very unlikely you have dandruff. Gels and hair spray will give the effect of dandruff but it is much more likely your scrubbing your scalp much too vigorously. Try using a mild shampoo and gently wash your hair thoroughly,no finger nails and no vigorous scrubbing.Towel dry good. For at least a week try using the least amount of conditioners or hair products as possible. Your problem should go away by than.

I would suggest using Head and Shoulders first, but if you are a teenager then you may be experiencing some pores on your head with similar attributes as pimples do (basically red dots on your head). If so, I would suggest using Tea Tree Special Shampoo by Paul Mitchell. See if your nearby hair care places have them, because they aren't in public stores. Hope this helps.

They all work well.
They make them now for different hair types but all have the same active ingredient.
So check them out and pick one that will work best for your hair type, couple it with a conditioner of your choice and enjoy dandruff free days!

none of the above... those shampoos are made with wax and will only make the problem worse, try using the paul mitchell dandruff shampoo, or nioxin scalp therapy...
